Paul Wilkinson is an environmental epidemiologist and Head of the Public & Environmental Health Research Unit, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
After training in medicine in Oxford and London, he took up an appointment in epidemiology at the National Heart and Lung Institute in 1989 before moving to the London School in 1994.
His primary research interests are the environmental determinants of health, including the health impacts of climate change and environmental pollution, and he has interests in the use of spatial and temporal methods in the investigation of environmental hazards.
He has been part of a consortium led by King's College investigating the health effects of London's Congestion Charging Zone and Low Emissions Zone.
