Andrew Davis
Andrew Davis is the Director of the Environmental Transport Association (ETA).

Andrew read Urban Studies specialising in transport structures and land-use patterns at University. He went on to join the Greater London Council’s Planning and Transportation department, becoming a consultant for the GLC’s Transport and Mobile Plant Fleet.

On the abolition of the GLC in 1986 Andrew left the public service to sell computer aided design software into the European microchip industry. Then in 1990 he joined with others to launch a motoring organisation for people who want to reduce transport’s impact on the environment - the ETA. In 1993 Andrew became Director and in the same year launched Green Transport Week. In 1997 he created National Car Free Day which has since spread around the world.

Andrew has written for the Daily Telegraph and The Guardian as well as regional and local press. He has appeared on Life on One and is a pundit on Channel 4 News, ITV News, You and Yours, the Today Programme, PM, Sky News, BBC News and many local radio stations.

Andrew ensured that the ETA was the world’s first climate neutral motoring organisation.
