The London's Transport Emissions Conference 2007 was held at the Greater London City Hall on the banks
of the River Thames on September 19, 2007.
To begin with London's Low Emission Zone was examined
by a member of the Greater London Authority (GLA).
Next the conference looked into the science of vehicle
emissions:
- Carbon (carbon dioxide and other greenhouse emissions)
and the phenomenon of global warming
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx) and their lives in the atmosphere
producing smog etc.
- Driver habit and the effects on emissions in addition
to CO2.
- The impact on human health (asthma and other respiratory
des eases) of these emissions.
In the afternoon the conference delegates received
the latest information from industry:
- Exhaust after treatment including SCRT, CRT and
AdBlue technologies
- Clean fuel technology including Additone from ChemEcol
(UK) Ltd.
- Tyre pressure effects economy and so WheelRight
will talk about means to control this
All fleet officers and managers as well as those involved
in environmental issues enjoyed and benefited from
the London's Transport Emissions Conference 2007. There was no charge to attend LTEC2007.
